Simple way to find out is to:
1. enter the Android marketplace on your phone
2. select the MENU key
3. select My Downloads

You’ll get a (perhaps long) list of applications and their publishers.

If you find a rogue application you can touch and hold the application in question from the list and then select ‘uninstall’
