I have exactly the same problem as everyone else with my L320...I beleive the plug in board that is mounted horizontally on the MB near the back left of the board looking at it from the front is the TV / FM board. It is getting very hot, so I removed it and the PC appears to be loading more at boot up but I still dont get any display or beeps. Is this board used for the graphic display too ? Before my L320 packed up the TV card was not in use as the drivers were not available for it . I use Win 7 Pro as my OS.

I buy my L320 in sept, 2007 and it dead on January, 2010. service center is asking RM 500 (malaysian currency) for repair. at so high price they only repair not replace the mobo. there is 3 months warrenty they will give for mobo.

My question is why acer is not taking some action and making customers so angry. i am using 2 HP laptop and 1 HP desktop they are running fine from last 5 years. they never have any issue. but why acre have such a silly issue. acer need to get sue for this.

The mobo is design such a way it won't get dead within warrenty period, but if warrenty period expier then surely it will die.

I am planning to take out RAM, CPU, DVD etc from it and build with new motherboard an assamble desktop.

ACER is sucks

I’m using several different small form factor PC’s now.
I’m currently using an Acer Aspire Revo R3600 with an external WinTV USB2 TV receiver for recording and playback – HDMI fitted.
I’m also using an Asus Eee Box 206 on another TV Set for playback.

I have also just ordered the new Apple TV that I’ll use purely for playback – can’t go too far wrong for £99 (I hope)

My L320 has expired in the same manner after 23 months of great service. I would dearly like to get it mended but £300 for a motherboard is just fantasy. By the way before it went completely I had a few weeks of internet fall outs which I put down to my provider, then on coming out from sleep the screen wouldn’t get a signal until I re booted, and it would work fine. This lasted about a week. It finally gave up when it wouldn’t re boot, the lights came on for maybe 4 seconds no sign of boot up and the thing switched of, and that was that. I sent it to repair and they have said it was the motherboard. I now want a suitable quiet replacement with TV because I used it for recording as well as all my home computer work.

I had this week a L320 in my hands and I verify that 12V was 0V. This makes HDD and CPU fan to stop. I think this could be our first problem that cause CPU and MOBO deads.
Don't trust Acer. Cheap but.....

I've got the same problem with my L320 and I'm beginning to think this is a more widespread issue than I first thought .
A repair looks to be a non-starter now due to cost of labour / replacement parts , looks as though I've now got myself a useless , dusty paperweight ......... unless of course anyone found a solution ????

arb: Maplin (UK) / eBay etc, sell USBSATA adapters which allow you plug the drive into another computer as a USB drive.

Reason I'm here: our Aspire L320 gave up in month 17! So only just out of warranty. Exactly the same symptoms as others have described here and on other sites. We've replaced it with a L410, but I'd love to get the 320 working again.

There's no visible heat damage or any popped capacitors on the top layer of the MB, but I haven't looked at the underside though.

It seems Acer have let a lot of people down with these machines :(
